The Power Helmet(TM) protects power cord connections in wet or snowy weather. It's design evolved from continuous power problems on the job site.

Power Helmet(TM) can be repeatedly opened and closed in horrible conditions, with dirt and grit not affecting the function. The Power Helmet is a new product that is designed to simply encourage water away from the power connections.

The situation on construction sites these days are complicated by GFI's or GFCI's which trip at the slightest hint of water. There are cords snaking to the temporary power pole from all trades, and usually multiple cords for each user.

When someone's cord gets wet from sitting on the ground or when it rains and everything is wet, the entire job goes silent. It's difficult to know whose tools are the cause, and even more difficult to remedy an already-wet connection. This causes delays that cost everyone time and money.

The Power Helmet(TM) has a raised base on which the connection sits. It is sloped to encourage water away from the connection. There is a drain slot that goes full circle around the base, and the same slots that accommodate the entry of the cords into the case area act as the drains for any moisture. There are no areas of the base that allow water to migrate towards the center.

All of the horizontal surfaces are sloped away from the center. The slots for the cords are designed to create two different results. They are lower on the outside than the inside, thus acting as eves, or extra protection from water intrusion. They also force the cords downward, so that water cannot wick up towards the base.

The Power Helmet(TM) has a velcro strap enclosed which is run around the closed unit, securing it from being dislodged. The expanded polypropylene blended foam that the units are made from is impervious to water, negates condensation, and is remarkably strong. The Power Helmet will provide an extended period of water protection for your connections.
